Chhavi and Alex had a beautiful, family-filled interfaith wedding week with plenty of exciting pre-wedding events. On the first day, Chhavi’s parents hosted a small gathering for a Mehndi night, followed by a Sangeet the next night at the bride’s Chachi’s home. The morning before the Hindu wedding, her parents hosted an intimate gathering for the Choora (bangle) ceremony. The Hindu ceremony began at the Quarry House at Wilder Ranch with a Baraat processional and the groom’s welcome ceremony. The following day, they had what the couple called their “white dress ceremony”, a second wedding ceremony at the Pleasant Hill Community Center Gazebo with an officiant. For the reception, guests went inside the community center, where they were greeted by floor-to-ceiling windows, lush green and white florals, and a beautiful candle wall behind the sweetheart table.
