Color can set the tone and feeling for a carefully curated event. Choosing the event’s colors and incorporating them into the florals, linen and lighting design is to be done specifically and with the intent to create a certain type of ambiance or feeling within your guests.
Some color trends are everlasting and have been used beautifully every year for the past 10 years. Others color trends are fleeting and not seen again for some time, only to reappear a few years down the line.
Rustic Natural
Greenery, wood tones, mahogany, eucalyptus, birch, white, champagne. Strong trend of the past few years, and will continue to be as clients continue to express the desire to connect with nature.
Moody & Bold
Velvets, metals, rich and warm jewel tones can make any wedding feel like an upscale affair. Rich fabrics and translucent accents displayed with a focus on vessels. This is an everlasting trend for Sangeet dinner and dance events.
Dusty Palette
Dusty pink, smoky lavender, sage green, soft grey, sand, muted pinks. These color combinations were very popular for the weddings of 2020 and are looking to spill into 2021.
Grey, Tan & Taupe
Elemental hues that reflect the strength we can draw from nature. These base tones are used across most color combinations, and have recently become accent tones or primary colors.
Aqua
Pinterest has slated aqua as the tone for 2021. We see aqua being mixed with earthy shades, blues and greens to achieve different tones. When mixed with white, aqua becomes the color of the greek ocean. When combined with peach, pink, or yellow, the new tone becomes spring or summer appropriate.
Blush Pink, Greenery & Cinnamon Rose
The soft tones of pink against the blue and green shades of the garden with an earthy feeling of cinnamon spice.
Modern Rustic
Grey is the new taupe. Add white or add black to change the tint and tone. Or shade it with a grey or brown base to ground it with today’s style.
Blues & Burgundy
Dusty blue, light blue, rose, burgundy and berry are classic and rich. The grey blue keeps it modern while the pink softens the palette and decreases formality.
Terracotta & Sage Greenery
Terracotta and sage green. Earthy richness at it’s best. Natural and informal and ready to be dressed up or dressed down, depending on the setting.
